As you all know we will not be returning to school this year and it is recommended that we stay quarantined in our homes. Because of this, I wanted to provide this website as a resource for providing different exercises that you can do. This is a time where we can invest in ourselves to improve our fitness, build some muscles and get in shape. Remember we always want to work to be our best. I will provide links to various exercise videos that will help you to accomplish some fitness goals. There will be easier to more difficult videos and some will be short and some will be longer. Because of this you may want to do videos multiple times, do multiple videos, or add some cardiovascular work such as a run after wards.Remember the surgeon general recommends everyone participate in moderate to rigorous physical activity for 60:00 or more, most days of the week. If you can do that great.
I recommend you get at least 30 minutes at a level that you can handle. Remember some days should be challenging and some should be easier. It's so important to exercise and if you are consistent and work hard you will see the results of your hard work. Start small and build up, first focus on establishing a routine and then work on increasing the challenges. It might feel hard at first and that's ok just keep going and it will get easier. If you have a challenging work out day expect that you may have muscle soreness, it's normal and as you get stronger that will happen less and less. It is evidence you are on your way to improvement. If your muscles are sore from your workout the day before then do an easier workout such as yoga or walking (if it's safe to do so and your parents allow it). Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and stretching, this will help soreness.
I hope that you are staying safe and enjoying this time with your families. If you have any questions please contact me I will be available Monday through Friday from 8:00-1:00. Stay well.
