On this page you'll find exercises, workouts, or websites that I found which can help you achieve your fitness goals. As always, before starting an exercise routine you should consult your doctor. This is especially true if you've had previous injuries. Once that is completed you can begin to improve your fitness. For most people beginning to exercise is hard, mostly due to the need for a change in your habits. If you can incorporate exercise into your day, most days of the week, you will feel better and you will see improvements in how you feel. Exercise does not need to be strenuous (hard) especially at first you want to ease into it and gradually increase your intensity. Start easy with just doing a little more than you did before. If you've never had exercise as part of your routine something you could do is start or end your day with a short walk. If you already walk to and from school that is great but to increase your fitness level just add a little more, even as little as 10 minutes. Every week you can add another 2 minutes or increase your intensity by walking faster and decreasing the time that it takes you to finish. You could also add in a second 10 minute workout per day. Exercise should be fun, something you enjoy that raises your heart rate. If you play sports with a league that is a great way to have fun, burn some calories, and increase your muscle mass while developing skills. Being active is essential for your physical and mental health. When you lead an active lifestyle there are so many health benefits that I can't even list them all. Some of the big ones include a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and it even reduces the risk of developing some cancers. Not only that but, being physically active helps your body to not be sick as often and you feel better both physically and mentally. My hope is that you will be inspired and develop a desire to be more healthy through healthy life habits of eating properly and exercise.
